Reception, Year 1 &Year 2 (Class 1) have enjoyed learning through our project Mountains & Molehills (big, little, small, large). We have written stories about Jack & the Beanstalk; studied our capital city of London as geographers; gone back in time to the Great Fire of London as historians and diary writers; measured large amounts of water using millilitres, litres, full or empty and have seen how tiny seeds grow into great big trees.
Class 1 have brought the outside inside so that we can see the changes on our very own deciduous tree and compare it to the trees in our school grounds. We have become super science spotters, spotting the seasonal Autumn clues and seeing how the different seeds disperse.
In Design & Technology we made our own Tudor houses and 'set fire to them' as part of our Great Fire of London learning. If you look closely you can see where the fire started and spread from house to house to house!
